Some say this was the best system in world. Well it has never been so. Here I would like to make to include what matters to me most about this system. Well, together with Brain Trend and the Synergy this is one of the most popular manual trading systems. What I did as an upgrade was to include advanced digital algorythms. We can say jurik everywhere.
The ASCTrend system is really good on the bigger time frames as the 4 h time frame and the daily time frame on the EURUSD.
If you are going to use the mt4 ASCTrend for day-trading consider it as just another factor in your discretionary analysis.

Guys I just want to show today some 131 days later the same set file withing the file what it gives to me.
I am really happy with the results. The equity curve really pleases me. I like it because it is rare for me to see a neural net optimized EA to perform so long out of sample. Normally they require optimization quite often.
As for the statistics they are normal for this EA. The win rate is quite low, but this is particular to this system, you can't expect more win rate. That is because basically the idea is to catch a strong move (I can't say that is a trend because we have both long and short). And by doing this inevitably there is a big pourcentage of loosers the positive mathematical expectation comes from the fact that we expect that the market state contains enough strong movements with sufficient volatility to make the whole thing work.
Anyway this is real out of sample and not a simulated one during back-tests. As you know that does not mean that it is going to perform very good in the future. However regarding the meta - knowladge of this EA, I am expecting futher gains if the volatility remains good.

The statistics are not really spectacular but I thing that a good system does not necessarily have oustanding characteristics.

This EA is not going to blow your account just like that. In trading if the quity starts a downtrend you need to stop trading the system.
Of course a quantified strategy may be appropriate but keeping it simple a technical down trend in the equity is a signal that the EA needs a rest.
