The basic idea I have here and why I have invited you is that the market is offering perdiodically almost deterministic  behaviour.

Actually it is the range in EUR/CHF.

Another example are the indexes SP 500 (for example) have really high Hurt exponent by now compared to the Forex pairs. And can be exploited by impulse following strategies.

I mean the data mining approach is very important. Once a particular opportunitiy arise it can be exploited in various different ways. Everyone has its own tool box. But what really matters is to share the opportunities as they arise. 

I am interested in the market situation and the existence of something that can be exploited, the trading system is important but it comes after it. I am far away from the idea that an universal system can exist that can beat the market anytime and anywhere. 

I think that the true art of speculation is the ability to discern in the market particular deterministic situations and to be able to exploit them the most efficiently (that means to exploit an algorythmic system that can squeeze every single pip from the situation). The true art of speculation is not in predicting the market direction.  

The opportunity in Eur/Chf is coming and will go but other opportunities will come.
